In its Napier Green dress, the fastest, lightest and arguably, the most beautiful car from McLaren’s Super Series Range, took to the track for the first time in this video.

The McLaren 675LT is now in production at the McLaren Production Centre in England.

The 675LT or ‘Longtail’ can be visually interpreted as the spiritual successor to the Mclaren F1 LMs from the 1990s, which displayed the same ‘longtail’ characteristics, with increased power, reduced weight and an immense focus on downforce that was designed to cope with Le Mans.

“This road legal supercar will embody the ‘Longtail’ ethos with a focus on performance optimised aerodynamics”, says McLaren.

Focused on driver engagement and with 496kW (666bhp in demonic terms)  screaming out of its 3.8-litre, twin turbo V8, this track demon appears about as engaging as it gets, and a perfect illustration of the Longtail name. One thing is for sure, no tyres were spared in the making of this video.
