Nissan has confirmed that three units of the GT-R 45th Anniversary Gold Edition have been earmarked for Australia.
Based on the GT-R Premium specification, the GT-R 45th Anniversary Gold Edition’s exterior is finished in Silica Brass, a colour last seen on the R34 Skyline GT-R M-Spec in 2001.
The GT-R 45th Anniversary also gains a gold VIN plate in the engine compartment and a commemorative plaque on the centre console.
Sharing in the MY2016 model updates recently announced for the United States market (where 30 of the anniversary machines have been allocated), the special edition grabs the GT-R Premium’s newly-designed dark 20-spoke RAYS forged alloy wheels, fitted with bespoke Dunlop Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT ultra (and breathe) rubber, measuring 255/40/20 up-front and 285/35/20 at the rear.
The mighty 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 produces the same 404kW and 628Nm peaks as before, and the six-speed dual-clutch gearbox also remains untouched from the previous model year.
Unites States pricing indicates a hike of $1000 to claim the GT-R 45th Anniversary over the ‘standard’ GT-R Premium, though pricing hasn’t yet been set for the Australian market.
