If you’re the type that prefers pasta al dente and a shot of stand-up espresso, then the 2015 Master Maserati driving course programme could be just your slice of prosciutto.

Master Maserati not only provides a suite of on-track driving experiences; it also blends Italian culinary and cultural experiences into the programme. The best bit? It’s based in Italy. This is one for the bucket list…

Lucky participants are able to experience the entire Maserati range in safety, from GranTurismo to MC Stradale, Quattroporte, Ghibli and GranCabrio. In all, the fleet is 15-strong, and all have audio and video recording capability.

The courses are all circuit-based at Varana de’Melegari, around 20km from Parma in Italy, with the number of attendees limited to 24 per course.

Four course levels are provided in the Master Maserati series and commences with ‘Master Warm Up’. New for 2015, this course offers an optional visit to the Modena factory. The driving combines road and track elements, in order to gain experience on the most effective driving techniques. In-car support is provided by the Master Maserati instructors, led by former Formula One and Sportscar driver Andrea de Adamich.

Next, the Master Maserati GT 1 Day course is purely dedicated to improving circuit driving techniques with the aid of telemetry. There’s also a session that covers oversteer control.

The GT 2 Day option builds on the 1 Day course by adding driving exercises on a low-grip surface.

If you want your partner involved, the Master Maserati Italian Lifestyle experience is for you. A circuit driving session is squeezed in around sightseeing tours of Florence and Parma, with five star meals and accommodation.

For the ultimate Master Maserati experience, however, the High Performance course is it. Held over two days it reflects on the skills built in the GT courses but adds comlex control exercises, with heavy reliance on telemetry to build speed.

If driving a thoroughbred Italian exotic on its home turf is something for your bucket list, Australian Maserati dealers can provide more information and book you in.
